Introduced in 1987, Italy’s dot IT country-code domain extension is quite popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for forming imaginative and appealing domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to share it with associates and pals. The domain name extension can also be used for a website, which is connected to the technology sector due to the fact that IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known all over the world.

Because of the fact that dot IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry organization that supervises this top-level extension, such a domain can be booked through a 3rd-party domain service provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry. You can register a .IT domain for a 1-year period at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our company and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. The only limitation is that the person obtaining such a domain is required to be situated in a country from the European Union.

Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that consist of geographical areas of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such third-level domains, though, considering the fact that they can be registered only by locals.
